    Hey Ben,

Looks like you’re having fun…. wondering if you can add a public “counter” to your blog? I’d be interested to see how many people actually read your blog as you don’t seem to get a lot of comments/responses. The blog entry with the most responses thus far – also seemed to be controversial – was on July 31st with 28 comments. Hence, I’d be interested to know the number of visitors to your blog to analyze if TOURISM QUEENSLAND’s gamble is paying off. Then again, perhaps, you don’t want a lot of comments because that would mean you’d have to reply….. more work; better to hang out with the fish.

As for that ‘controversial’ blog post: I guess people need to look up the definition of “TOURIST” and “TRAVELER” as there is a HUGE difference. You are employed by TOURISM Queensland….

    Hi Ben,
What a story in the press, :) . Let’s say , uh, Muralag, Prince of Wales, another part of Queensland, sparsely populated, is almost deserted. Alpina watch should be well worth a rock (in Brisbane your girlfriend could add a band for her ears: NOANCHOR). The boat’s name: World Discoverer. wasn’ t that funny ?

Ben, I`ve heard there`s an ecologycal disaster coming to big barrier rief, it is a threat of disappearance of the Big Barrier reef — one of the oldest ecosystems of a planet. According to Russian scientists, because of annual decolouration of corals the cover can disappear by 2030 that subsequently will lead to a reef final fracture. What can you say about that?

With the amount of money invested in this promotion, I am surprised that updates are not more timely. Why use Twitter updates if you don’t follow thru with blog posts for days after? Interest is tweaked but no immediate connection so the impact is lost as your reader has already moved on.

The experiences are so stage managed and manicured that they may as well be written before they happen in any case so why not have some closer cohesion between the channels you are employing and deliver a timely tight package?
